Kashi Vishwanath Temple Timing

 

·        The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a Hindu temple in Varanasi, India. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, where Lord Shiva  is worshipped in the form of a fiery column of light.

·        The history of the temple dates back to over 2000 years. The temple was built by King Bhoja in 8th century AD. It was destroyed by Mughals in 1555 and was subsequently rebuilt in the 17th century.

·        There are three main entrances into the temple complex- North, East and South gateways. The Eastern gateway is known as “Dwarakadhwaj”, which means “the gateway of the God“.

·        This temple is known for its iconic design and architecture. It has a large number of visitors and is also one of the most visited temples in India.
